Whether for business or education, campus communities offer many advantages to employees, faculty and students. A modern campus requires connectivity to every corner; however, their geographic footprint requires networking capabilities that today’s Wi-Fi networks struggle to serve. Investment in modern technologies to better serve campus needs – including high bandwidth data, real-time video broadcasting, video and AI surveillance and security, and connected sensors to support facility monitoring – add complexity and create IT silos to existing network infrastructure unless parallel investment is made in connectivity.
