A recent article at The Well News featured Expeto CEO Michael Anderson discussing essential steps and considerations for driving 5G innovation for enterprise. Focusing on Anderson’s keynote session at Fierce Wireless’s E5G Show, titled Experience in the Field with the Enterprise 5G Deployment Options, the piece also explored specific Expeto projects that have already seen tangible results.
While many enterprises are familiar with the benefits of 5G technology, they are nonetheless wary of possible disruptions that could interfere with business as usual. As such, solutions that increase efficiencies with minimal change in the enterprise’s pre-existing operations almost exclusively make the cut in early stages. But while the enterprise’s resistance to change can make it difficult for 5G innovators to form partnerships, Anderson suggests taking an approach based on the principle of “aim small, miss small.”
By focusing on small scale solutions with meaningful impacts, 5G innovators can prove their merit with little risk to the enterprise. However, introducing 5G applications will also require building mutual understanding and respect for the way that things are done in the enterprise setting. In doing so, these innovators can earn a seat at the table when it comes time for the enterprise to determine the path of its 5G future more intentionally and critically.
